"Lonely Bee"

Runner-up

--------------------

The princess ran down the forest path with muddy shoes.
She left the bicycle at that place, because she couldn't hold the handlebars and the bee.
The tied hem of the dress came loose and it was caught by the roots of the trees. When she pulled on it, all the pleats on the hem were torn out.
The princess looked down at her bare knees and smiled.
"Oh, it's becoming very easy to run."
"You have done enough for me."
A weak voice came from inside her hands.
"You have done enough for me. Don't run."
"You saved me. It's my turn to save you."
"You will be tired."
"I don't mind at all. I ate three pancakes floating on honey. We will reach the grasslands soon. Bee."
After saying so, the princess noticed something."
"I realized that I don't know your name. What is your name?"
"Bibi"
"My name is Chell."
Bibi and Chell.
They felt that they became friends the instance they introduced themselves to each other.
Princess Chell was so delighted that she felt she was able to run faster.
Soon, a light came into sight. Suddenly, a wide open place appeared before them.
Chell stopped.
It was a flower garden. Pink Chinese milk vetches, white clover, and yellow dandelions were blooming there.
Countless golden grains were flying among them. These were bees. Various buzzing sounds are mixed with the soft breeze as if music were flowing over the grasslands.
Though Chell was out of breath, she shouted at the top of her voice.
"Where are his comrades?"
From the flowers at her feet, many bees flew up at the same time. When Chell stretched out her hands, they gathered together. Seeing Bibi who was limp on her hands with a broken needle, they said one after another.
"You are Bibi, aren't you?"
"Where have you been?"
"We searched for you."
"You returned, didn't you?"
"Don't get separated from us any more."
"Cheer up, Bibi."
"We will bring you medicine soon."
Bibi just shook her wings faintly on Chell's hands.
Chell said in a low voice."
"You said you liked to be lonely, but you just got lost, didn't you, Bibi."
Bibi flapped its wings shyly.
Chell called out to the bees around her.
"Can Bibi get well?"
The bees answered.
"We have medicine."
"Only the queen can cure Bibi."
"The queen is the mother of all bees."
"The medicine is made of flower nectar."
"Much nectar is needed to make the medicine."
"We are lucky to have collected so much."
Just then, , Bibi said to Chell.
"You want nectar, don't you?"
Chell said to Bibi angrily.
"No, I don't. If I take the nectar, you will not be cured."
"You reached the grasslands with considerable effort."
"I reached here but I will go back. I have things to do."
"Chell..."
"I will have all the stone pavement in the castle removed. I will sow many seeds. After the flowers bloom, come to collect nectar."
The comrades carried Bibi from Chell's hands. Floating in the gentle breeze, Bibi looked at Chell.
"I will give you some nectar."
"Thank you. I like to eat pancakes with a lot of honey. I will eat bread until many flowers bloom. There is plenty of wheat for bread. I hope you will get better soon."
Lifting her torn dress, Chell bowed like a princess. It was her deepest bow, the one she makes only when meeting the king of another country.
Bibi smiled shyly among the bees.
Next, Chell waved her hand goodbye. This time, she continued to wave to her friends.
The golden cluster of bees disappeared far away into the grasslands.
At this time, Chell noticed one thing and shouted in a loud voice.
"Be careful when you come to the castle. Swallows and frogs may try to eat you!"
