Picture01 Buzzzz... Buzz... buzz.
Buzz... buzz... Buzzzz.

Young worker bees fly out of the hive.

She's the last to leave.
Purupuru purupuru...
Purupuru purupururun.

Puru-chan the worker bee is happy-go-lucky, so she takes her time flying away.

This is her first outing to gather nectar.
Her first blue sky.
The green grass, the sparkling water in the river, all these colors are new to her.
"How beautiful!"

The gentle spring sunshine warms Puru-chan's body.
"This feels nice!"
Little flecks of sunlight float down to her wings...
Poka poka poka poka...
Like the voice of the sun.
"Oh, my ... but ..."
Puru-chan had not been paying attention during the honeybee teacher's lessons.
"What kind ... of flowers ... do we take the nectar from?"
It must be... Surely it is...
The pretty flowers with the broad petals.
"Oh! Here's one now!"

Picture03 When Puru-chan tries to land, the pretty thing with the broad petals says in a lovely voice:
"I'm a butterfly. A cabbage white butterfly.
I'm going to get some nectar in the field where lots of flowers grow."

The butterfly then catches the wind and flutters away.
Puru-chan buzzes along after in her unhurried way.
"Show me the way!"

In the field, there are lots of beautiful flowers with broad petals.

The air smells of nectar and there is a golden haze.

The sound of the beating wings of a honeybee comes from Puru-chan alone.

Purupuru purupuru.
I'm the first one here!
Purupuru.
