Solar panels located on top of our factories |
|
One of Yamada Bee Farm's principles is to be "beekeepers" in tune with nature. We have a responsibility to leave nature to our children as beautiful as it already is, and one of our founding ideas is to "have harmony with nature."
In March of 2000, we completed installation of a solar powered generator system (maximum output 60kW) on top of our factory, providing a clean source of energy.
In April 2001 and in October 2004 we added support for another 60kW, bringing our current total output through solar power to 180kW. Through these two additions, our solar powered system's total output is now the Chugoku region's largest. |
Our system is constructed through 1,020 solar panels, supplying 170,000 kWh annually. This covers 70% of our electrical consumption, which is distributed amongst powering office buildings and so forth.
Our daily consumption of Co2 is reduced by the equivalent of 300 Lauraceae trees each standing 10m high. Annually, this is equivalent 110,000 trees.
Panels located at our company entrance providing driving conditions show real-time weather and electrical supply volume. |
