Carrot with Honey

Udo and Seaweed with Honey and Plum


Carrot with Honey

Ingredients <4 servings>
2 carrots (300 g)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons sake
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame

Cut the carrots into slightly thick strips.

Heat the sesame oil in a small pan and fry the carrots 1
until they become soft and pliant.

Add the honey and sake, fry until all signs of moisture disappear.
Add the soy sauce.

When the moisture disappears, turn off the heat, add the sesame, and mix.



Udo and Seaweed with Honey and Plum


Ingredients <4 servings>
100 g udo (Aralia cordata) (net)
100 g seaweed (reconstituted)
5 tablespoons pickled Japanese plum
2-3 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon soysauce

Peel the skin of udo a thickly, cut into bite-size pieces, and soak them in a solution of vinegar and water.

Briefly soak the reconstituted seaweed in hot water, then soak it in cold water.
Cut the seaweed into bite-size pieces and squeeze out any excess water.

Add the honey and soy sauce to the plum
(mince after removing the pit from the plum) and mix well.

Add, after wiping the moisture from 2, and the udo to 3 and dress them with the minced plum.
