Outline
Takuro, the main character of this story, was a schoolboy. One day, his grandfather entered the hospital. After that, Takuro was to visit him in the hospital every Wednesday afternoon. Takuro felt a little ill at ease in the company of his grandfather. But as he saw his grandfather gradually languish when he visited the hospital, he decided to do something good for his grandfather.
One day, he heard his mother say that sweet things are good for patients. So he secretly took some honey out of the refrigerator. His grandfather liked crunchy crystallized honey very much. When he gently brought the honey to his grandfather's mouth with a spoon, his grandfather was extremely pleased and asked him to bring some honey again next time.
The next time he visited, his grandfather said that a bee came to lick honey left around his mouth. Takuro opened the window. After a while, a bee entered the room with a buzzing sound. Taro and his grandfather held their breath and saw the bee lick honey from around his mouth.
His grandfather died soon. But to this day, he has been unable to forget their secret encounter with the bee.
